Winter Wonderland??

So it snowed this week, ALOT! and I am terrified to drive in the snow. I am one of those drivers who you probably don't like and pass flailing you hands up wondering what in the world this driver could be thinking. That's ME! This week has been great though, Lex came and picked me up for a day out yesterday and it was great to have a sister day. We went shopping at Maurices and of course shared a couple thousand laughing moments. It was a good day.
I have to be honest that I have got a lot done around the house this week as well, the snow really has been great in that way. It motivated you to do lots, when its to cold to go outside. I have lots to be thankful for this time of year when its freezing! Especially a loving driving sister and a lovely shoveling bf! Thanks guys for allowing me to use you at my scariest season of all! SNOW!!!
Good thing we are leaving for Vegas next Tuesday and guess what? They have NO snow, as of right now...Im excited!!

Our Nest...

Alrighty everyone, my New FaVORITE MagazinE EVeR...the Nest
Just wanted to let you know how great it is. It has great, fun gift ideas, budget advice, home decor ideas, DIY projects..its just grand! Snag one next time you see one.

Our nest has been a bit boring this time of year, not sure if its the weather or what...but I LOVE IT! I feel like I can totally play catch-up with everything ive put on the back burner. Photography is slow, because of the weather and thats really sad. I actually really miss being photography busy, its fun trying new stuff and meeting all new people. It has also been really great to work from home and actually use my degree..Imagine that ha? lol. Im so thankful for some loyal fans and community that keep me busy. Its been such a great year!

Thanksgiving was a highlight of this week. We got to have two of them!! Like we needed two? but both were great. We had lunch at my moms and it was great. Its always fun laughing and spending quality time with Lex and Quincys Family and of course Grandma Deb. After lunch #1 we went to Thanksgiving #2 and Kirk and Brendas. They always outdo themselves and go all out. I really love that they have sweet potatoes! YUMMO! Its always fun to have two families that are both great. Im pretty lucky! Pictures will be on FB sometime.

So now on to the recent news update. James took off the rest of the week after the Holiday. So we started yesterday with a movie marathon..DON'T JUDGE! All our chores are done! ha ha. WE have now watched 7 movies in the last 2 days! Its been fun to snuggle up under a blanket, drink hot cocoa, and just veg! I promise tomorrow I'm gonna do some mad work (my butts starting to hurt, that couch).

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are all staying warm this time of year! I'm very thankful for all of you and all my blessings. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Holy blogging!

I cant stop stalking blogs! Why is stalking them so much easier then writing them?? hmm. So since my last post, I got to go to the DJ Scrappin Retreat that my mom and her (everyones friend) Jane put on. Its a great crafty weekend where you can scrapbook, card make, sew, really just do any craft. Its an amazing time and every year I come home so motivated and excited to craft again! TONS of great ideas are shared as well! Its just really great, you all should come?
After coming home and putting my craft stuff away, I decided to reorganize my office again! Its crazy how just having a new layout of a space makes you want to be in it more. I think i was in there all day! It was great. Maybe tomorrow, Ill get some crafting done. I cant wait to get some Christmas crafts finished....ok started! haha. Here are a few things I stalked today. I LOVE BLOGGING IDEAS! Its grand! Hope you all are having a great week. Ill keep you posted on other great ideas i snag!

Oh my!

On a walk this week, so pretty ha! I LOVE FALL!

Guys im seriously a slacker..this blogging is always on the back burner. Its been a busy week, again! Went shopping with my mom last weekend, got tons of cute crafts to work on and the pictures will be up someday. Got a cute clock, some picture frames, that are now hung up and some really cute boots that have been keeping me so warm and I LOVE THEM! Its always great to get away for a weekend with mom and get some shopping in! That night was also Halloween so of course the girls came over for some candy, and Kesiah is still stopping by to finish off the rest (its been a big help, so we dont eat it all). Kesiah was only wearing half of her costume at this time, and Keeley was a Lady Bug! They are so cute! Glad Lex has them...haha. Nothing else was really knew besides work, pictures, tons of pictures and all this Fall weather that I LOVE SO MUCH! Its a great time of the year, mostly because James is inside more and thats where I like him! Hope everyone has a great week!

Day 2

So far so good, this is my second day...ha ha
Today was a pretty productive day after I slept in. I haven't been sleeping this whole week and it kinda put a damper on my nights. I'm not sure whats going on, but I'm glad my dad came by and the doorbell woke me up at 10!
After the wake up call. I worked on a few pictures, organized some paperwork, called a few clients, Lexi came over for a while and then I decided I should BAKE. I then got out all the stuff and made Halloween cookies!!! The grand thing is...they turned out good! After eating just one (and some dough) ha ha. I bagged them up for the nieces and the family for tomorrow.
While baking, I noticed how dusty the kitchen table was, so decided to dust it, then just did the whole house. When 5 came around, I had cleaned the whole house, got all the Halloween stuff halfway put away and all my fall decor out and was about beat. How does the day go by so fast?? Wish I had more hours in the day.
Cousin Cody came over as well and helped winterize the sprinklers with James. Its so nice to have family to help with that kind of stuff and he tells pretty great stories to..I haven't laughed that hard in a while! Thanks Cody and James.
Anyway not that impressive of a post, but it was my day! Excited for shopping tomorrow with mom! Hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Halloween people!

Im back...

Finally blogging again! Its been a crazy few months since I deleted my last blog and so much has changed. I decided that through my website and my fb fanpage, I advertise AK Photo and Design enough and would like to just have a spot for my personal stuff and a journal of sort. HERE IT IS! Since my last blog was deleted, James and I have moved into our new house. Its been so fun. The new house smell and small new things never get old. The only hard part is..picking out things that we both like. I always wanted to move into a house and paint it all up, be creative and go nuts. Its been not that at ALL. James loves neutral colors and neutral colors only. I mean the guy has like 24 white shirts with small pinstripes of colors and that's it. He wants chicken a ricearoni, every night. Hes a simple guy and I'm more complex, so its been interesting. We did pick out curtains the other day and they are red/burgundy so there is hope for some color after all??? Cross your fingers people.
Dont get me wrong tho,  I HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR. James hasn't sat down since we moved in. Hes has already textured, painted, built a work bench for the garage, laid sod, moved the lawn, put sprinklers in, and still helps me cleanup dinner. He has been the most amazing man friend a girl could ask for.
On a lighter, less sappier note. ha ha. I have more.  I got a nanny job a few weeks ago and its been so fun. The little ones are 2 and 4 years old and cuties for sure. Its fun to get to know their cute little family and watch them.
Lets just say I have tons to do with all the photography jobs, the nanny position, keeping up with the chores at home, and being sane. I have no idea how my sister does with with kids and her going to school. Its seems like I barely have time for me. I guess that's another reason I started my blog back up. I really helps on those busy days to take a minute and think about all the good things in your life. Today I am thankful for everything I have. I have some great things going on, some great people in my life and I LOVE IT! Hope you guys stay tuned and help motivate me to keep posting!
